AI Foundations

A foundational AI literacy course for colleagues with little or no prior AI experience. It has no prerequisites, and it builds the skills that matter in a working day: prompting that gets a useful answer, judgement about where AI is unreliable, and safe use of the internal tools Amadeus has approved.

About this course

This course assumes nothing. It is for anyone who has not used AI at work, or has tried it once and found it unconvincing, and it is built around the things a colleague actually does in a day rather than around how the technology works underneath.

Sessions run fortnightly, so there is a fortnight between each one to try what was covered on your own work. That is the intended way to take the course: the practice between sessions is where the fluency comes from, not the hour itself.

What you will be able to do afterwards

  • Write prompts that get a useful answer, and recognise when a prompt is the problem
  • Judge where an AI answer is likely to be wrong, and what to check before relying on it
  • Use the approved internal AI tools safely, and know what must not be put into them
